It was an honor to get to know these two over the year. Kaylen and Zach have this peaceful, calming demeanor about them that makes them so desirable to be around. They’re both passionate about life and even more passionate about each other. Their deep appreciation for nature made the Wisconsin Woodlands the obvious setting…
My favorite part about documenting weddings are the people who make these celebrations truly memorable. While all those little details we spend so much time agonizing over – the dress, the invites, place-settings, favors, cake, florals – are incredibly beautiful, I always find myself attracted to the moments. These moments are what set your day…
We recently returned home from our annual trip to Arizona after visiting my retired-living-the-dream parents. And wow, guys… So many things I learned this time. Like how naive I was to think that traveling without my husband, and with two children (one under the age of one) would be just fine. Thankfully I was able to escape one evening while spending some time getting to know this super sweet couple, Logan and Riley. We watched the sun fall beneath the sky as the most gigantic, brightly lit moon took over.
I really can’t explain the high I felt after shooting this session. It came at a time when I needed peace in my life, and for some reason, documenting others is when I feel most at ease. We added another beautiful boy to our family this year, and while he has been such a huge blessing in our lives, I completely underestimated what going from one child to two would really be like.
